March 16th is Transit Driver Appreciation Day
On Friday, March 16th, 2018 join us in celebrating Transit Driver Appreciation Day by thanking our hard working Nelson Transit drivers for a job well done.
“We have a great bunch of guys that take their job seriously and do their best to get passengers to their destination safely” says Nelson Transit Supervisor, Jody Koehle. “We want to recognize them for their excellence in service and hope that passengers will do the same.”
It is easy to show your appreciation by greeting your driver with a smile and a wave, but on this special day, and we are also encouraging passengers to:
- Share your thanks on Twitter @NelsonTransit and use the hashtag #TDAD
- Fill out this online form to send a message of thanks.
- Print one of these two cards and give it to the driver in person next time you hop on board. Card #1 or Card #2.
Transit operators do so much more than drive. They provide safe, reliable, helpful service by ensuring passenger safety, keeping to a schedule, giving directions, remembering stop requests, all while maneuvering large vehicles through unpredictable traffic and challenging weather conditions, while keeping a smile on their face.
